It’s a horrible feeling when you think you’re alone and nobody cares.
The Word of God tells us to encourage one another and remember those who are in prison for the faith (1 Thes. 5:11/Heb. 13:3). It’s our hearts desire to put this into practice, because around the world there are many persecuted Christians facing darkness and despair who need our encouragement. So join us to write letters of encouragement to those who are persecuted, those in prison for the faith and to their families - your messages of support are a source of hope and comfort to remind our persecuted family they are not alone.
Before you start, please watch our Guidelines Video below to help you write your letters and cards. If you're still not sure what to write, use the following sample letter as a guide for your own letter of encouragement.
Dear [recipient's name],
I heard about your situation and wanted to write and let you know that you are not alone, you are loved, and you are in my prayers. Although we have never met, we are family in Christ.
I cannot imagine what it must be like for you, but I assure you that the Lord is with you - even in the hardest times. I pray that you will know His presence and His peace everyday.
Don't give up, and keep trusting in Him, because He is a faithful God, He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Be encouraged, The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walkthrough the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23)
With love in Christ,
