If you need some hope and encouragement, keep on reading. Pastor Lee McClelland, of the Ark Church in north Belfast, was in critical condition and credits his Covid-19 survival to God. The Irish Pastor joined Craig in the Upper Room, to testify of the miraculous way God helped him pull through in the most unexpected and amazing way.
Pastor McClelland was in critical condition in a Covid Ward in hospital. His condition was deteriorating and doctors and nurses were doing their best to revive him. No one was allowed to meet him in the isolation ward - no family, no pastor, no friends, and he felt he was in a very dark place. The hardest thing he found was not being able to see his wife Joanne and four children, and he wasn’t sure whether he would survive the night.
He recalls after ‘two nights of hell,’ he cried out to God for help. The next day God sent an unexpected visitor to encourage him. The visitor told him about all the wonderful works God, and comforted Pastor McClelland encouraging and praying for him while standing at the door of the room. After he left, Pastor McClelland felt so much better. He soon started recovering in his health, and his breathing improved. Having no appetite, he suddenly had a craving for prawn cocktail crisps and a can of Coke! That’s when the second miracle happened.
Pastor McClelland has a wholehearted appreciation for the hospital staff. His testimony has gone global, encouraging people in their faith, and for those who are sceptical, it gets them thinking about the things of God.
‘Christians go through difficult times,’ says Pastor McClelland, one Scripture that brings hope to any situation is Romans 8:38-39:
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
