Prayer ISN’T a game of chance, yet when all else has failed, some will turn to prayer almost in the hope that luck may be on their side. Praying to God, for us however, is fellowship, communion and the very core of our existence. We don’t see prayer as a one-way conversation. We talk to the Lord, and He lovingly responds to His children.
Have you ever tried to have an intimate conversation with someone that you do not know very well? It’s awkward isn’t it? Likewise, conversing with God without a knowledge of who He is, can often result in unfulfilled expectations. This is why the word of God is so important to us, because the only way to truly get to know our God, is to embrace His word. We recently began a study of the 119th Psalm, which lists the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Significantly, each letter reveals to us unique attributes of our God. With every week that passes we feel that we know Him just that little bit better, it follows that the more we know Him, the better our conversations will be!
Through praying intimately with the word of God, three amazing things immediately begin to happen. Firstly, there is an AUTHENTICATION of the Power of the Word of God. Secondly there is a CONFIRMATION of the deity of the living, Word. Christ. Thirdly and finally there is a new fresh EXHALTATION of the reality of His Word in our hearts. (A.C.E) When the word of God is revealed to our hearts, we ACE all of our prayers and expectations to the glory of God, Amen.
With every week that passes on Word & Prayer we feel that we know Him just that little bit better, it follows that the more we know Him, the better and more fruitful our conversations will be!
